A Luxurious Japanese Dining Experience in Kagurazaka – The Pinnacle of Edomae Sushi and Halal Wagyu
Tucked away in the backstreets of Kagurazaka, a quietly elegant restaurant awaits. SANGA.TOKYO occupies an entire building, offering a different Japanese cuisine concept and spatial experience on each floor. Built around two pillars — premium Edomae sushi and A5-grade Halal wagyu — the restaurant welcomes guests from around the world.
Step inside and the sound of flowing water greets you, evoking the atmosphere of a traditional ryokan. This is a singular establishment where Japanese aesthetic sensibility meets contemporary diversity.
On the 1st floor, "Sushi Sen" offers authentic Edomae sushi crafted by a chef devoted to tradition. Every movement performed across the counter reflects years of accumulated skill and artistry, transforming the meal itself into a special experience.
The Omakase Course – Kiwami begins with delicate appetizers such as abalone and seared Spanish mackerel, followed by a beautiful progression of nigiri including white sea bream, fatty tuna, and sea urchin. The shari melts the moment it touches your palate, perfectly united with the full umami of each topping, leaving a lingering impression of elegance.
As halal-certified seasonings are used, guests with dietary restrictions can enjoy an authentic sushi experience with complete peace of mind.
On the 2nd floor, "Wagyu Kappo Tominaga" showcases kaiseki cuisine centered on the finest Halal wagyu sourced directly from Tominaga Farm in Miyazaki. Raised without antibiotics and on pesticide-free feed, this wagyu is distinguished by its delicately sweet fat and remarkably clean finish.
The Halal Course unfolds with white sea bream and kuruma prawn sashimi, wagyu yukke, grilled hairtail, and wagyu shabu, stimulating all five senses in a thoughtful sequence. The charcoal-grilled wagyu in particular deepens in flavor with every bite. From start to finish — culminating in a truffle rice course — each dish embodies the refinement and innovation of Japanese cuisine.
The complete privacy of the fully enclosed rooms is an added pleasure.
The 3rd floor opens into a beautiful sukiya-style tatami space, creating a calm and refined ambiance. The design incorporates elements of the tea room, combining the delicate beauty of Japan with a sense of openness — an experience certain to leave a lasting impression. A karaoke room is also available, allowing guests to unwind after dinner.
The sound of the waterfall at the entrance, combined with floor-by-floor separate circulation routes, ensures a high degree of privacy with minimal chance of encountering other guests.
Here, not only the cuisine but the space itself becomes a cherished travel memory.
