A fulfilled heart, a space that stays close to you.
In the Shinjuku Gyoen area, a little removed from the great metropolis of Shinjuku, there is a hideaway bar wrapped in a calm space of white sand, greenery, and gentle lighting—as if you had slipped away to the countryside of southern France.
Whether on a night of lively conversation or in a quiet moment when you simply want to pause, the finest drink the bartender crafts wholeheartedly for you gently keeps your heart company.
Each cocktail, created with heartfelt care for every individual, is a special drink born from the meeting of ingredients, the connections between people, and the harmony of space and time.
A place where all things beautifully come together to create moments that fill the hearts of those who visit—that is this bar, "The Bar Mariage."
Fresh cocktails made with seasonal fruit, infusion cocktails steeped with herbs, fruits, and spices, tea cocktails using Japanese ingredients, and more.
The care extends even to the garnish (the fruit, herbs, spices, and other decorations or accompaniments placed on the rim of the glass or on a cocktail pick).
The bartender is versed in the Japanese tea ceremony, and, guided by the spirit of ”caring for others through a single bowl of tea and giving thanks to nature and the seasons”—the heart of omotenashi (heartfelt Japanese hospitality) and the spirit of ichigo-ichie (treasuring each once-in-a-lifetime encounter)—each cocktail woven here is truly the ultimate drink.
"Matcha Vanilla Rum Milk" (2,000 yen, tax included), made with carefully prepared matcha, offers smooth, mellow matcha with a soft sweetness of rum and the gentle aroma of vanilla.
A dessert cocktail harmonizing Japanese ingredients, "Wasabi-an (wasabi and sweet bean paste) Frozen" (1,800 yen, tax included), plus a variety of cocktails combining seasonal ingredients you can enjoy only in that season, and more.
These are just part of the menu.
Depending on your mood and taste that day—and sometimes on your vibe or the conversation—original cocktails are improvised on the spot.
For those who are not fond of alcohol, there is also the thoughtful option of non-alcoholic drinks or a lower alcohol content.
Be sure to try the seasonal signature cocktail, which changes its expression with each month and season—a combination of "fresh fruit × fragrant tea × carefully selected alcohol."
The freshness of the fruit, the depth of the tea leaves, and the lingering finish of the alcohol overlap to create a one-of-a-kind cocktail you can taste only in that season, in that moment.
The way each ingredient's individuality is drawn out while blending beautifully within a single glass is nothing short of artistic.
Care shines through in the food that further enhances the ultimate drink, too, with limited-quantity seasonal plates prepared according to the day's purchasing and stock—so-called "secret menu" items.
If your timing is right, you may encounter a special marriage of food and cocktails available only in that season.
We hope you will fully enjoy moments you can experience only here, born from the harmony with your drink.
Tonight, round things off with a cocktail that "The Bar Mariage" takes pride in. Why not treat yourself to the very best chill, straight from the heart?
The interior is based on white in gentle tones, with vivid green plants adding accents in harmony. In this relaxing space wrapped in pleasant background music,
there are 6 counter seats, a table for 3–6 guests, a high-chair seat for 2, and a small solo table where you can savor unhurried time alone; private hire for up to 20 guests is also possible. (*Reservation required)
Whether on the way home from shopping or a walk, on a night of deep conversation, or a night of facing yourself and truly finding calm, you can soothe the fatigue of daily life at this ideal healing spot where you can fully unwind.
A 1-minute walk from Shinjuku-gyoenmae Station on the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line and a 13-minute walk from Shinjuku Station, on the 4th floor of a building right beside Shinjuku Gyoen—why not savor an exquisite drink tonight?
