A restaurant which offers Japanese Sake and Chicken dishes from Akita prefecture.

Located a four minute walk from Ebisu station (Hibiya line) and two minutes from JR Ebisu station, is ' Honke Abeya Akita Junmai Sake Dokoro Ebisu'(Akita pure rice sake dining). The restaurant specialises and carefully picks its ingredients from Akita prefecture. One can enjoy Akita prefectures 'Hinai-Jidori' (a species of chicken classified as one of the three most delicious chicken breeds in Japan) in many dishes such as hot pot, Yakitori, Oyakodon etc. The Japanese Sake offered here is stored in its own specialised cellar, and there are over 300 different types to choose from; there are seasonal Sakes as well as rare and vintage Sakes, in which the staff will serve to customers according to their preferences. One can enjoy the pairing of other foods and alcoholic drinks also, to creat a perfect marriage of the flavours. Please enjoy the deep flavours of Akitas' ingredients as well as the uniqueness of the Japanese rice wine, Junmaishu offered.

At this resturant, one can enjoy many dishes using one of the three most delicious chicken breeds of Japan, the 'Hinai-Jidori'. The chicken served here is fresh; it is brought directly from Akita prefectures Hinaicho, and cleaned/filleted in store. The Hinai chicken raised in Akitas cool temperature has a thick skin and a sweet fatty section. Its body is chewy and has an irresistably deep flavour. Please enjoy the Hinai chicken paired with Japanese Sake. The Hinai chicken skin Yakitori (460 yen) is a chewy dish filled with strong flavour and scent. The Soliles Skewer (480yen) is the muscular part of the chickens thigh and only two pieces can be extracted from each chicken. It is both chewy and fatty and one is sure to become hooked on it after trying it. Omakase skewers (3 or 6 skewers) are also available.

'Yakitori special course' 7,000 yen (tax included) is a course in which Akitas Hinai chicken dishes, such as Yakitori and Akita ingredients can be enjoyed. The chicken which comes directly from Hinai in Akita us fresh and cooked over coal to make Yakitori. Seasonal vegetables from Akita are also included and make a luxurious course. Boiled course with seven different types of Japanese Sake' 12,000 yen (tax included) This course includes dishes prepared with the best quality ingredients and paired with unique Japanese sakes. One can enjoy Hinai chicken skewers, seasonal vegetables, Horse meat Sashimi paored with Japanese sake. The main dish is boiled Hinai chicken(Mizutaki); the soup from the fat of the chicken is slightly sweet and very subtle and is a perfect match with the Japanese sake. The 'closing rice dish' or the final dish is a porridge that is sure to tickle your senses. The dessert pudding made with Hinai chicken egg.

The interior of the restaurant is a Japanese-modern style and is like a hidden gem, just for adults. The seating available includes table seats, counter seats and semi private booths suited for whatever setting you may need. In the entranceway, there is a sake tank (sakabune: a barrel for squeezing sake) that had actually been used by Aramasa Shuzo(Sake Brewery) for half a century; one can spend a high-quality time while thinking about the history of Japan sake.
