A restaurant run by a producer of Akitas Hinai chicken, in which one can enjoy the taste and culture of Akita food.

Connected directly, and only a one minute walk from JR Tamachi station, is 'Honke Abeya Musubu Tamachi'. The restaurant boasts dishes from Akita, from Yakitori, Mizutaki (boiled chicken hotpot), Kiritanpo hotpot to Oyakodon etc, one can enjoy the taste of Hinai chicken, considered one of the three most delicious chicken species in Japan. The Hinai chicken used is delivered fresh daily, direct from farmers in Akita. As the store directly purchases the chickens and filets it themselves, customers have the chance to enjoy rare parts of the chicken which can only be enjoyed here. The Japanese Sake from Akita prefecture on offer, is controlled in the perfect temperatures and includes famous brands as well as minor sakes also.

This course includess a total of 12 dishes starting with an entrée of 2 types of vegetables then to the prized Yakitori while enjoying fresh vegetables paired with the Akita Sake. AS a break in between the vegetables and the Yakitori, the restaurants original 'Akita Bijin brand Tofu' is served. To finish, the restaurants signature menu, the Hinai chicken Oyakodon is served is brought out as a mini size dish.

The Oyakodon served here uses the Hinai chicken to its full capacity, leaving nothing wasted, making the Oyakodon a truly 'great Oyakodon'. One can enjpy the taste of the Hinai chicken: it is cooked over coal leaving the Chicken smelling delicious, and a soup is added for more flavour, then the whole thing is wrapped and enclosed inside the egg, enhancing the flavours. How about you try the course at Honke Abeya for a great dining experience.

For those who are indecisive about which part of the chicken to enjoy, there is the 'Yakitori Omakase 6 piece set'. The Hinai Chicken is brought in store directly from the farmers, filetted and cooked in store, on Kishu Bincho charcoal. The outside of the chicken is cooked crispy, whike the inside is chewy; the flavour oozes out with each bite you take. Why not find your favourite part of the chicken whilst trying this Omakase? '

Akita Hinai Chicken boiled hotpot' refers to a dish in which the Hinai chicken is cooked only in water and stock to make the most of its rich flavour. The soup filled with collagen is rich in flavour. Please enjoy the different flavours of this dish with the differnt ingredients and spices available. The restaurant also serves alcoholic beverages such as Akita Sake and spirits, wines etc to pair with the dishes.

Directly connected ot Tamachi station and a one minute walk away is 'Honke Abeya Musubu Tamachi'. The interior is designed in a way in which customers can feel the culture of Japan; there are lanterns, curtains with pine patterns, and paper balloons with warrior paintings. These paper balloons are used for the traditional event "Papaer Balloon Festival of Kamihinokinai" in Akita, which has a history of over 100 years. and they are also listed as Intangible Folk Cultural Properties.

There are also semi private booths ready for use. The counter seats in which one can watch the whole process from filletting to cooking, is also recommended.
