Delight Your Eyes, Palate, and Heart – A Sushi Experience to Remember

Just a two-minute walk from Exit 5 of Roppongi Station lies Sushi Yon, a renowned sushi restaurant offering a serene escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. Each piece crafted by the head chef embodies the essence of Edomae (traditional Edo-style) sushi—aroma, temperature, and texture—highlighting the seasonal ingredients of Japan. The carefully blended trio of red vinegars enhances the natural umami of every topping.
From the counter seats, guests can enjoy views of Tokyo Tower while savoring refined dishes prepared by expert washoku (Japanese cuisine) artisans. Complemented by curated sake pairings, it’s an experience that engages all five senses within an elegant, tranquil atmosphere.

  • Signature dish – Toro (fatty tuna) and uni (sea urchin) mille-feuille, the opening of the course.

  • Meticulous hand-formed nigiri showcasing the chef’s craftsmanship.

  • Nemuro-harvested bafun uni (short-spined sea urchin) with rich sweetness and deep flavor that melt smoothly in your mouth.

  • Sushi shari (rice) made with “Tsuyahime” rice from Yamagata Prefecture – refined sweetness and umami that elevate the toppings.

  • Vivid seasonal dishes woven by washoku (Japanese cuisine) chefs highlighting fresh, colorful ingredients.

Let us introduce the restaurant’s signature Hoshi Course (¥25,000 including tax). It begins with the famous “Mille-feuille” – layers of fatty tuna, fragrant sea urchin, caviar, and gold leaf creating a stunning presentation. Once tasted, the rich umami of toro melds with the creaminess of uni, while the salty touch of caviar perfectly balances the flavors. Each bite offers a depth that makes you sigh in admiration.
The course continues with assorted nigiri, sashimi, chawanmushi (steamed egg custard), skewers, and seasonal dishes that showcase the chef’s refined technique. A luxurious experience for all five senses – many guests say it’s a taste they long to experience again.

  • A wide selection of Japanese sake, whisky, and wine.

  • Non-alcoholic options such as Japanese tea are also available.

  • Choose your favorite sake ochoko (cup) – featuring traditional crafts like Tsugaru vidro (glass) and Nambu ironware.

  • Bring your own bottle to enjoy your preferred flavor pairings.

A carefully curated selection of Japanese sake elevates the seasonal sushi experience at Sushi Yon.
Centering on premium labels from the Tohoku region, the menu features around 12 varieties at any given time, including rare bottles seldom seen on the market.
Each sake is chosen to harmonize with the dishes, so even those unfamiliar with pairings can relax and enjoy.
Guests are also welcome to bring their own favorite bottles. Savoring fine drinks alongside delicate sushi creates a mature and refined evening – another reason why Sushi Yon is beloved by locals and travelers alike.

  • Live counter seats where you can watch the chef’s artistry up close.

  • Fully private rooms with restroom facilities and smoking permitted.

  • Semi-private spaces separated by norēn (Japanese curtains) for a relaxed meal.

  • A refined ambiance from the entrance onward sets the tone for an elegant evening.

The interior features a modern Japanese design with a sleek black theme, where light and shadow blend beautifully to create a refined atmosphere.
At the counter, guests can enjoy the chef’s graceful movements up close. A fully private room with glass flooring offers an extraordinary dining experience, while semi-private tables divided by norēn provide a sense of comfort and privacy.
From the counter, Tokyo Tower illuminates the night sky, enhancing special moments. English-speaking staff are available, making it welcoming for international guests. Experience a memorable evening filled with warm hospitality at Sushi Yon.
