Savor the food culture of Edo (old Tokyo) and authentic Japanese cuisine with all five senses at "HANAMICHI Cuisine"

"HANAMICHI Cuisine" is a restaurant specializing in Japanese cuisine, set in a lively space inspired by the townscape and food-stall culture of Edo, where you can enjoy the food culture of Edo with all five senses.

Alongside Edo's four great specialty foods—Sushi, Tempura, Soba, and unagi (grilled eel)—it offers a diverse array of Japanese dishes such as grilled skewers, using no chemical seasonings and drawing on modern techniques to express the flavors and food culture of the Edo period in the present day.

Through food, space, and staging, it offers a Japanese-cuisine entertainment you can experience only here—a fusion of the world of Edo and authentic Japanese cuisine.

  • Large prawn tempura soba (cold) 1,780 yen (tax included)

  • hitsumabushi (grilled eel over rice) 3,880 yen (tax included)

  • Wagyu sukiyaki set (for two) 7,600 yen (tax included)

Inside, you will find authentic menus that rival specialty shops in their own right—Sushi, Tempura, Soba, unagi, grilled skewers, sweets, sake, and more.

Dishes that let you feel Edo's food culture line up here—Edomae (Edo-style) sushi made with red vinegar, Sarashina soba finished with premium first-press buckwheat flour, skewer-style tempura recreating the serving style of the Edo period, and whole skewered grilled eel. Although the specialty booths are arranged to evoke individual food stalls, part of the appeal is that you can order every dish from any seat.

The à la carte lineup is extensive too—Wagyu sirloin skewers, Tokyo X pork, homemade sweets, and a sake-tasting set of "Sawanoi," a local sake from Okutama in Tokyo—so you can casually enjoy a wide variety of Japanese flavors to suit your mood and taste.

  • Up close to performances by professional dancers

  • Guests can join in and enjoy the Bon Odori (a traditional Japanese festival dance) too

Eat, drink, and dance! The greatest festival night in Tokyo!
In the heart of Shinjuku, experience "Bon Odori"—a Japanese festival dance with a 1,000-year history. Enjoy delicious food, watch performances by professional dancers, and at the end, join the circle of dancers yourself.

"Bon Odori" is a traditional Japanese festival dance that began about 1,000 years ago. People dance in a circle, sharing a joyful time together while expressing gratitude to their ancestors. The choreography is very simple, so even first-timers can dance right away!
