A Marriage of 100 Wines and Authentic Italian Cuisine
Located near Shinjuku Station, "Viagio Shinjuku" is an Italian wine bar where you can casually enjoy 100 carefully selected wines together with authentic Italian cuisine handmade by the chef.
With a thorough commitment to how food and wine complement each other, every dish on the menu lists a recommended wine, so even those new to wine can easily try pairings. All wines by the glass are a flat 660 yen (tax included), letting you enjoy even premium wines with ease—why not explore a wide range of pairings to match your mood that day?
Be sure to savor the synergy here: wines whose true aromas and flavors feel richer through their pairing with the food, and dishes whose previously unnoticed umami and appeal are drawn out in return.
Among the thoughtfully crafted dishes, the "Bone marrow mixed pasta" (1,980 yen, tax included)—rich bone marrow full of umami and collagen tossed in a special sauce—is also popular. Its rich flavor is hard to find elsewhere, and it is recommended paired with white wine. Enjoy the restaurant's signature combinations, where food and wine bring out the best in each other.
The lunchtime available only Tuesday through Friday is popular for its pasta lunch made with chewy domestic fresh pasta. The fresh pasta boasted by Awaji Mengyo, in business for over 110 years, pairs superbly with a variety of sauces. What's more, at lunchtime there is also a reasonably priced alcohol menu.
The à la carte selection is also extensive, rich in meat dishes that pair perfectly with wine, such as "Roast free-range chicken ~green mustard sauce~" (1,680 yen, tax included) and "Grilled Kuroge Wagyu beef" (2,880 yen, tax included). With a wide range of à la carte options from appetizers to mains, you can freely combine dishes to suit your mood and taste and enjoy a pairing all your own.
There is also a full lineup of authentic Italian desserts, such as "Homemade tiramisu" (580 yen, tax included). And of course, wines to match the desserts are available too.
A 3-minute walk from the west exit of JR Shinjuku Station. Beyond its convenient location, part of its appeal is that each floor offers a different atmosphere.
The first floor is an open space reminiscent of an authentic bar, easy to drop by for a casual drink on the way home from work.
The second floor offers a warm space based on natural wood and white, where you can relax over a meal or conversation.
The third floor features fully private rooms for 4 to 10 guests, suited to a variety of occasions such as welcome and farewell parties, girls' gatherings, birthday parties, and dates.
With free projector rental and a birthday dolce service, it can be enjoyed for a wide range of occasions, from special days to casual meals.
